Our History

Alternative Custom Millwork was founded in February of 2013 and is based out of Airdrie AB. As we are a small, privately owned company we only have one employee at this time. Robert Loewen is our company President as well as lead designer, fabricator and installer of our products. His experience in the cabinet and millwork industry started in 2005 as an apprentice cabinetmaker. Over the course of four years he completed the apprenticeship program and became a red seal journeyman cabinetmaker in 2009. Throughout his eight years in the industry he gathered many skills and ideas from working on both residential and commercial projects. Today he is using them to help build a successful business  dedicated to quality products and customer satisfaction.
